Editorial!

Here are a few photos from a previous shoot i did, but havent posted on the internet anywhere yet.
Ive been trying to hit the glamourous editorial style photos for quite awhile now!
I thought the best way to achieve this style easily, is with these following tips: black and white, hair ALL up, heavy/dark makeup, and angular poses.
Some tips for model photoshoots (involving numerous outfits):
Go through the outfits first! Make sure you start shooting with casual clothes, and save the best outfit FOR LAST! Because by then, the model will have gotten more comfortable (especially if you havent worked together before, or they are new to modelling, or some of the outfits are revealing), and your best shots will always come from the 100-200 last photos! Im saying this from experience!
Models dont often like to tell you how and what they want from the shoot. Its always great if you can work WITH your model to achieve an outcome BOTH of you desire! I really value models opinions/input. I always let them do thier own ideas because they will be confident and it will show in the photos! :) (Rather than if i directed them to do something they didnt quite understand)

Btw, im going to be doing a post on hair very soon.... How ive been styling my hair for about a year now, with no heat! (And its bleached and dyed, but healthy as ever!) I have 4 different types of curlers which ill reveiw all of them (plus pricing and comfort, etc), and ill list all the hair products i use, and my steps for various hairstyles.
Ill also be doing new tutorials on really simple vintage hairstyles. Most of these involve curly hair, so ill be posting the no heat curl hair post first!
Stay tuned!

Film noir

Some exciting news! This week i got a new job, as marketer/photographer for a music store business! Looking forward to that.
A re-edit of Olivia. Just going to put it out there, location shoots are far more interesting and unique than studio.
Last week i filmed for two nights, into the early hours of the morning. It was a film noir produced by my friend Max for this uni project. They wer using incredibly expensive and professional gear! And the actors and actresses were amazing! I cant wait to see the finished product! Here is a snap of the actress brooke, who plays a saucy seductive 1940's gal.

Will have more photos to put up later!

Latest Edits

I apologise for the lack of activity lately, im quite busy with uni assignments at the moment! Ive had a bit of fun on this iPad app called Pixlromatic during classes, and so heres a bunch of photos that ive post processed... (All from old photoshoots)

This week ive done nothing apart from uni work except for eating food at carnegie, spend alot of money on bubbles, and plan my new company ideas.
Next week ill be helping out with a film that my friend Max is directing! Ill be sure to bring my camera and get some snaps. Im also spending this saturday at Maroondah Dam with the mpc folk, so hopefully i get some more good shots there too.

Poloroid!!

Today is the first day of spring, and when i think about, that winter was pretty tame. It was like 50% sunny days. I was expecting far worst from Melbourne. Now im worried for this upcoming summer, it better still be hot or i will be thoroughly disappointed!!

Please dont use my photos without my permission! :)

By the way, could i pretty please ask for feedback? I realised ive never asked for critique before, but let me know if you have any feedback on my photos/editing! Ive made the commenting tool open to anyone, so you dont need an account to comment, but please write your name, so i know who the feedback is from!
