Designers i admire

Alannah Hill. Always new. Today i went into the shop and had a poke around. Everything was so whimsical. Strong colours or red, pink, cream and black. But almost every colour. And lots of polka dots, stripes, ribbons, buttons, lace, ruffles, beads, pearls, flowers, BOWS! Bows, bows, bows, bows, bows. Most of the average designers go for the easy streetwear or classic workwear sort of style. Ive never come across any fashion as whimsical as alannah hill, yet still as stylish. Somehow she doesnt manage to make them look silly and childish. They still look uber chic. I must give her alot of credit for her designs as she does well without having anyone else to emulate. I wish i could buy stuff, but its waaayy expensive. That said, it would be very hard to mix her designs with any other clothing i own as it would stand out too much.

Homemade masks

Matt and i have been planning our day trips for the mid semester break. We're thinking of heading up to daylesford for a weekend.

Right now ive got a mask on my face. Homemade of egg and towel paper.

This is how it works: (it doesnt sound pleasant, but it works!)
You need: one egg white in a bowl, a brush (makeup brush), small square pieces of towel paper.

1. Have a hot steamy shower ;)
2. Use a brush to brush egg white onto face.
3. Place towel paper over egg and brush over again to make sure its all stuck on your face.
4. Repeat untill your T zone is covered.
5. Wait till it dries and hardens. (Touch the inner corners of your nose - thats the last place it dries)
6. Peel off slowly.
