Pool

Some mpc folk and i went to the city last night, to saw bye to dan before he left. Photos from last night.
As you probably have already guessed, none are edited. Straight from the camera.
Music note lights from slow shutter.
This was at Caulfield train station.
 Pool balls
I am very very very terrible at pool. Words cannot adequately describe how terrible. I was all sorts of fail.
 Pearl was awesome at pool....
Pearl getting her pro pool skills on.

 Ball in motion.
More of Pearl.
Taken with a Carl Zeiss manual lens.

For readers interested in my hair tutorials, ill be putting up another variation of the vintage low updo
soon. (A more lazy effort one for reducing time spent on hair)

Shooting at a club

Me and some other fellow MPC committee members went to cover the Monash "Sex it up" party. Boy was it promiscuous :|
It was held at Room 680. Technically i cant really post the photos i took. Because we were paid for the night, so the photos dont really belong to us. But heres a few quick ones i snapped.

Slow shutter speed = trippy lights.

More slow shutter speed.

Heaps of photos like this. I was on a higher level balcony, and i pointed downwards for a cool angle or the subjects in the crowd.

Late night city adventures

Went to the city with some friends from the photography club i joined recently! We were supposed to doing long exposure shots of the city lights along the river. But i cbf'd with landscape and did portraiture instead!

None of these are edited.

Model: Pearl

I like how the light source if from directly above her in this photo. Usually i dont like that. I hate midday sun for shooting, because it makes the eye sockets turn into dark shadows, and the lighting is not very flattering altogether.

Shooting while the sun is going down in the late afternoon, is interesting because you get some awesome contrast between shadows on the face. But also annoying because everytime i change my angle on the subject, i have to change ALL my settings again. (I use my camera on manual 99.9% of the time, unless its a candid shot 0.01%).

This is not a very flattering photo of me (on of the reasons i dislike flash - its too harsh and highlights flaws very sharply, even with a diffuser), but ive put it up to show the amazing bokeh city lights produce!! Bokeh is my best friend.
